What are your fitness goals?
Once I have built up the courage to get over my stage fright I would love to compete in a Fitness Bikini competition. I would also love to own a gym and become a registered dietitian, specialising in obesity.
What are your hobbies?
I train in the gym 4 to 5 times a week and frequently go for walks over the weekends. If I have time, I love going for hikes – I love the outdoors.
My friends are very important to me, so social dinners are a weekly occurrence. I also love trying new activities like yoga in the park, stand up paddle or wakeboard on the dam. I used to surf at the coast, but that’s no longer an option in Johannesburg.
Do you have any sporting/fitness achievements you would like to share?
Used to swim, play water polo, and rock climb for KZN but not for a good few years.
Why did you enter the USN Face of Fitness 2017?
Making such a drastic career change scares the daylights out of me, but I wanted to take it further. By entering this competition, I have pushed past my comfort level. I want to launch my fitness career and the exposure from this competition would help me. I want to show women that fitness comes in many forms and instead of pursuing unrealistic body fat percentages I would like to portray a healthy and realistic female athletic form.
