What are your fitness goals?

My fitness goals include maintaining balance and flexibility in diet and training. As a competitor, I am still trying to create my best physique. I find that the most important fitness goal of all is to love myself every step of the way. Internal happiness is the key to external and aesthetic happiness and ability.

What are your hobbies?

I love lifting weights and train between 5 to 6 times a week. I also enjoy going to the beach or to accompany my husband on various adventures. I would love to get involved in CrossFit and water sports.

Do you have any sporting/fitness achievements you would like to share?

I competed in the state of Georgia in the NPC as a Bikini athlete from 2012 to 2013. I also qualified for Nationals in 2012 and competed at National level in the Junior USA in South Carolina in 2013 before moving to South Africa. After several health problems and miscarriages, I got back on stage in the IFBB SA as a Wellness athlete and took first in King Shaka this year. I followed that up with 1st place in the East Coast Classic, and 4th in the Millennium Gold Plate, SA Xtreme and KZN Champs.

Why did you enter the USN Face of Fitness 2016?

I entered the competition because I know I can motivate women around the world who are going through tough times while battling to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Training and working at keeping a positive mindset can definitely uplift you, irrespective of your circumstances. Taking care of ourselves means taking care of those around us as well and I believe being well is the most selfless thing a person can do.
