What are your fitness goals?

I am planning on making my WBFF Figure Pro debut in March 2018 at the WBFF PRO AM show which will be held in Cape Town. After receiving my Pro Card in 2015, I have not yet competed again due to the fact that I couldn’t afford to compete overseas as I was still a student and only recently started with my career.

As for daily goals, I love the way I feel when working out. It’s not just about my physical appearance, my love for training/competing and fitness goes much deeper than that. I challenge myself in numerous ways, whether it be that I go heavier on squats or running faster for extended periods of time.

I always work towards something. My ultimate goal is to keep improving my strength and fitness levels, and of course being happy with my physical appearance. The job is never done, I am never satisfied. Therefore I train 6 days a week and maintain a healthy diet on a day-to-day basis (I do have wine and cheesecake occasionally).

I’m getting married on the 24th of Nov, so I am in full prep mode as if I was stepping on stage that day – “Gotta squat before I tie the knot!” I believe I can, so I will.

What are your hobbies?

Aside from weight training and bodybuilding I used to be a dancer, so I still dance when I get the chance (even in the gym between sets while listening to my music!). I’ve always been an active person. It just feels right when my body moves!

My love for being on stage has led me to dancing, singing and bodybuilding. I am a people’s person and I enjoy meeting new people.

I love hanging out with my friends and family. They are my biggest supporters after all.

Why did you enter the USN Face of Fitness 2016?

I want to be the reason why someone decided to change their life, to be healthier and have fun doing it. I want to be able to inspire women all around the world.

This also means that I need to be someone they can relate to. I’m not always stage-ready but I do maintain a healthy fit physique. I enjoy cheesecakes and pizza every now and then. I also wake up with negative thoughts and no will to train but I do it in any way because it makes me feel good. I have good and bad days, but once I set a goal, nothing can stop me. I want women to know that it’s okay to not always love every single part of yourself, it’s a process and you have to change the way you think about yourself. We also need to remind ourselves why we started (and this is applicable to all areas of life, not just fitness or physical appearance).

I want to be a symbol of dedication, drive and determination. I also want to help women learn to love their bodies again, regardless of their current state of mind or fitness levels.
